Study of microbial food chain in the reservoir Chapéu d’Uvas, Juiz de Fora/MG – Brazil

Data: 10 de November de 2016

Main goal:

Determine the relationship between bacterioplankton dynamics (production, respiration and growth efficiency) and structure (density, size, shape, composition and diversity) of inorganic nutrients with the presence of predators and cyanobacteria in the reservoir of Chapéu D ‘ Grapes in the city of Juiz de Fora (MG, Brazil).

Specific goals:

   1. Evaluate the structure (density, size, shape, composition and diversity) and dynamics (production, respiration and growth efficiency) of heterotrophic bacteria in a large time scale in the reservoir.

   2. Evaluate the relationship between bacterioplankton and the /absence of cyanobacterial blooms in this environment.

   3. Evaluate the control made by predators (flagellates and ciliates), organic and inorganic nutrients in this structure, as well as bacterial dynamics.
