Focus: Law and Innovation

The objective of this course is to help graduate students deal with empirical research, utilizing innovative qualitative methods in the practice of a specific research (professors will present their effective research work) as well as help them work with social innovation as a topic for their research.The course has a practical goal: students will present their research project in the last part of the course, so that the professors can give suggestions and tips for them regarding the methodological approach.

Syllabus:

  • July 25th – Presentation (Explaining the course) Marcos and Lars (from 2 PM to 5 PM) The idea is to give three to four articles for the students to read during the course, as related below.
  • July 27th – Social Innovation, participatory governance and social enterprise ecosystems – Lars Hulgård (from 2 PM to 4PM) Debate (Marcos and Lars) (4PM to 5PM)
  • July 31st – Empirical legal research: how innovative can it be? – Marcos Chein (from 2PM to 4PM) Debate (Marcos and Lars) (4PM to 5PM)
  • August 3rd- Presenting your research project (Debate) (from 2 PM to 5 PM)
  • August 8th- Presenting your research project (Debate) (from 2 PM to PM)
