Exchange Agreements

Agreements are legal instruments, without financial consequences, that make partnerships with foreign institutions viable, in order to foster academic, scientific and cultural cooperation.

For undergraduate students at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), these agreements allow Brazilian students to:

Obtain visas to enter the foreign country;

Be exempt from academic fees to study courses;

Receive credit for the classes when they return to Brazil.

In exchange, UFJF receives foreign students under the same conditions. The agreements also facilitate the exchange of professors, who may work at a variety of activities, such as offering short-term courses (one semester or less), develop research projects or participate in scientific missions and events.

UFJF does not offer scholarships or financing for students or professors. However, the destination universities may offer subsidies to visitors, for example, room and board.
